Justin Craig portraitJustin received a BA and MA in Music at Radford University, where he studied guitar with Valerie Hartzell and Robert Trent. He performed actively at the University as a solo guitarist and with many varied ensembles. During his two years in the Master’s program, Mr. Craig held the position of Graduate Assistant under Robert Trent. As part of the assistantship, Justin instructed the Musc 270 Guitar Class and assisted in the teaching of Musc 269-70 Fret Board Skills. Justin has also coached, directed, conducted, arranged music for and performed bi-annually with the Radford University Guitar Ensemble.

Aside from University work, Justin has taught private and group guitar in and around the New River Valley for the past six years. He has taught all skill levels and ages incorporating classical, jazz and popular styles. He is currently a faculty member in the Renaissance Music Academy where he teaches Suzuki guitar and guitar ensembles. He is also a faculty member with Virginia Tech's Fine Arts Initiative.

Since graduation Justin has continued to perform in the area. He has performed frequently for weddings, cooperate events, fundraisers, farmer’s markets, restaurants, and wineries. Justin Craig has completed Suzuki training with David Madsen and Andrea Cannon. He has performed at many venues in Floyd, Radford, and Blacksburg.
